Referees

Information
To become a referee you need to be at least 12 years old, take five 3.5 hour classes and pass the Referee Test. To sign up for referee classes please sign up during the player registration period or contact Jose Kuruc at referee@westkendallsoccer.com

Cost
There is a fee of $50 to take the class. West Kendall will refund this fee if you pass the test. Once you pass the test there is an additional fee of $50 to register as a referee with the Florida State Referee Association. Also if you pass the test a referee uniform will be provided consisting of the shirt, shorts and socks. You are responsible for buying the flags, watch, whistle and cards.

Referee Compensation
The referee fees are based on the age group and position you are assigned to referee. Most new referees start by doing U10 lines and then progressing to higher ages groups and then finally being the main referee.
